Super Nintendo Classic Edition to Launch on September 29, 2017


It was widely expected, and now Nintendo has officially announced the Super Nintendo Classic Edition, which will be released in North America and Europe on September 29, 2017.  The game lineups will be the same, however Europe will get the cooler looking design.

The console will cost $79.99, and will include 2 wired controllers and 21 games.

Nintendo has not announced whether the console will be available beyond 2017, however they have stated that they plan to create significantly more units of the Super Nintendo Classic Edition than they did of the NES Classic Edition, though specific numbers were not mentioned.  Good luck getting one.

  • F-ZERO

  • Secret of Mana
  • Star Fox
  • Star Fox 2  (Never before released; unlocked after completing the first level of Star Fox)
  • Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting
  • Super Castlevania IV
  • Super Ghouls ’n Ghosts
  • Super Mario Kart
  • Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
  • Super Mario World
  • Super Metroid
  • Super Punch-Out!!
  • Yoshi’s Island
